Liam was born on the 19th of November 1999 at Pembury Hospital in Kent,
United Kingdom by elective c-section. After all the troubles we had with
Dylan, I was reluctant to try the whole natural birth again. Once again
though, his birth brought along trying times for us all.
He too had low blood sugar and was kept in the special care baby unit for
two weeks until they were happy with his feeding. He was also born with
tri-philangeal thumbs and cranio synostosis, the latter which we only
discovered at the age of 3 months. At the tender age of 6 months, he
underwent surgery on his head in a mammoth 5 hour operation at Red Cross
Children's Hospital in South Africa. He also had both thumbs operated on to
shorten them at ages 2 and 3.
He is a loveable boy although, being a scorpio, does have a sting in his
tail. He loves football and golf and is forever practising both in the back
garden. At the moment he wants to be a goal keeper although Lance is trying
to persuade him otherwise. He would also like to know how he can become
like Tiger Woods and my advice to him has been practice, practice, and more
practice.
